| The obligatory "How's My Driving?" post |

Here you can let me know how you think I'm doing with Yuan! I admit, this is my first time playing him so I do feel a little bit insecure on his characterization, but I've been re-reading the script and watching OAV 4 and the scenes from Tales of Fandom 2 and I think I'm getting it down.
So, good? Bad? Atrocious? Any suggestions? Let me have it! |

I'm surprised this thing still works. Then again, I did design this technology to be durable, although falling several hundred feet isn't something I had considered in my design plan.
Before you ask, Maraich, the laptop fell. Not me. I'm just fine. |

... so yesterday was Father's Day, was it? Another pointless Earth holiday. Are fathers really so unimportant that people there need a day to remind them of their existence? Or do they think that as long as they remember their father on that day, the rest of the year doesn't matter?
Either way, there's no point. At least Kratos is probably enjoying it. |

[Apr. 25th, 2009|01:28 am] |
I won't say I'm unhappy to see Luke again, but waking up with him in my bed was not what I had in mind.
If this is a virus, it had better be over soon. I think both of us would like to have our privacy back.
... Luke, what are you doing? |

| [RL with Jade: New Year's Eve (backdated to, duh, New Year's Eve)] |
[Jan. 2nd, 2009|02:10 am] |
[Yuan was starting to feel like some sort of escape artist, given how often he'd been leaving the hospital lately. At least this time no one could yell at him for it-- after all, he was going to visit Jade, who had given him permission to leave in the first place. Tucked under one arm were two bottles of wine that he had picked up from his base; his other hand held his cape closed against the biting cold. The worldhop had sapped his strength more than he'd expected it to, and he wanted nothing more than to get inside where it was warm.] |

I've stumbled across a few bottles of wine I'd forgotten I even had... an excellent vintage, if my memory serves me correctly. As I can't possibly finish them by myself, would you care to lend me a hand? Today is a holiday, after all, and if I don't do something to celebrate it, I suspect I'll be labeled a "party pooper" again and then I'll never hear the end of it. |

I do not pretend to understand all of this interest in a holiday that seemingly only exists as a means of getting people to spend money. Nor do I understand why people use this as an excuse to get drunk and act like fools at these so-called "parties."
Regardless, I suppose I should say something, if only to keep certain people from pestering me about it. (And yes, I am well aware that I am a day late.)
Merry Christmas. There, now I have no desire to hear anything else about this from anyone. |

... I can't sleep. The nightmares are back and worse than ever before, and now... now there are more than just that one. I suppose I should ask Jade for some more of those sleeping pills. Hopefully this time he won't be so damned hesitant about giving them to me.
I wonder if it's started to snow in Asgard yet... |

| [RL with Kratos: (Turn Left event) A Visit from an Old Friend] |
[Nov. 14th, 2008|03:21 pm] |
[Spending most of his days in the hospital in Grand Chokmah was starting to become very boring very quickly. While he was allowed to return to his manor for periods of time, the doctors did not want him to be away for too long-- it was in his best interests, they said. They wanted to monitor the spread of the miasma toxicosis as best they could, as the medicine no longer seemed to be working as well as it should be. Whether that was due to his physiology as an angel or his Cruxis Crystal no one knew; in fact, most of the doctors did not even know his true nature.
As it was, Yuan was left alone in a room yet again to wait for some result or another.] |

It's been such a long time since I last posted... but then again, I suppose that's my own fault, isn't it? I can't believe how much of an idiot I was. Really, what was I thinking? Well, it doesn't matter anyway.
I've missed talking to you all so very much. Tell me, what have I missed?
(OOC: So Colette decided that Yuan needed to cheer up and got a happiness potion from Akako. This is the end result. He's gonna be like this for a week, guys, so enjoy it while it lasts.) |

| [RL with Peony: Picking Up the Pieces] |
[Oct. 29th, 2008|11:56 pm] |
The saying 'time heals all wounds' was only true to an extent. While it was certainly true that Yuan's physical wounds had healed (thanks to Jade's timely intervention and the efforts of the royal healers), it soon became clear that the psychological ones still remained. Most inquiries from the doctors about how he was feeling were met with blank stares or monosyllabic answers; not even Jade could get much out of him beyond the occasional angry outburst. For the most part, he seemed oddly resigned and quiet.
His gradual recovery meant that he was now able to see visitors-- Emperor Peony had made it a habit to stop by just to check on him whenever he had a free moment. Although Yuan would tolerate these visits out of unspoken gratitude for all of the Emperor's assistance over the past several months, how he really felt about them was anyone's guess... |

| [RL with Kratos: Returning the Favor] |
[Sep. 18th, 2008|03:53 pm] |
The room was silent save for the beeping of the machines monitoring Yuan's vital signs. Asch had been ushered out by order of Jade and the doctors; though he had agreed to the mana transfer if it could possibly help Yuan, his dislike for Kratos was still evident and Jade had no wish to risk a potential confrontation by leaving the two of them alone in a room with Yuan. There was enough tension in the air as it was without adding to it further.
The first mana transfer had been a success: it had stabilized Yuan enough to get him out of danger for the time being. As the days went by, however, it became clear that more would be necessary to keep him stable despite the transfusion he had finally received. Jade had given the go-ahead... now all that remained was to actually perform the transfer itself. |

Is there anything the doctors could give me that would allow me to sleep for a while? I've been having some... difficulty getting any rest. |

| [RL with Jade: I'm Just Gathering Papers, Really] |
[Aug. 15th, 2008|10:19 pm] |
It had been several days since Yuan had first awakened after being healed. While his periods of consciousness were still brief, he was now aware of his surroundings and was able to form coherent thoughts to a degree, although he still lacked the strength to do much of anything else besides look around the room. Not that it really mattered-- he found it easier to let unconsciousness grant him respite from the guilt and regrets that hounded his waking moments.
The doctors had finally managed to convince Asch to go take care of himself for a bit, assuring him that Yuan would be fine on his own for a while now that he was out of danger. Thus it was that Yuan was left to rest quietly for a short time without Asch's constant presence. |

| [Open RL: Visiting Hours] |
[Jul. 27th, 2008|05:41 pm] |
The hospital room was, as hospital rooms typically were, sterile and bare, the walls a shade of stark white that gave off an unwelcoming impression to anyone who happened to visit. In the bed in the center of the room lay Yuan, his teal hair freed from its typical ponytail and fanned out on the pillow beneath him, the soft rise and fall of his chest the only indication of life. It was clear from his appearance that he was in a bad way. The markings had spread up onto the right side of his face, the deep purple color contrasting with the ashen shade of his skin. Every so often he would cough weakly and then grimace as if in pain.
Curled up next to him like an oversized cat lay Asch, green eyes regarding all visitors with suspicion. Initially he hadn't wanted to let anyone in; at last he relented under the condition that he be allowed to monitor any visitors Yuan might have. For now, however, he wasn't about to leave Yuan's side.
The room was silent aside from the sound of Yuan's labored breathing.
(OOC: Anyone involved in the Meltokio plot is free to visit at will; anyone else who'd like to come, just ask me first. ♥ There's no posting order since everyone should just do their own separate comment. Also, if you do anything to threaten or upset Yuan, be prepared to be chased out by a very angry Asch. XD) |
